Cal Poly has a collection of Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant documents covering the period 1967 through 1999.
The Cal Poly collection of documents relating to the construction, licensing, and operation of the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant (DCNPP) was established by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with access to the deliberations of various bodies related to the operation of the plant. The Kennedy Library at Cal Poly University (San Luis Obispo) was designated to receive and maintain papers and documents related to the plant, and most especially to make those documents available to the public.
Starting in late 1999, the NRC discontinued the Local Public Document Room program and began making its documents available over the Internet. Our local archival collection contains paper documents and microfiche covering the period from 1967 through 2000. Nearly all documents related to nuclear activities all around the United States (including Diablo Canyon NPP) are listed in the NRC's online database, ADAMS (see separate tab for links and help). Some of the documents published prior to 2000 are available online in text format, while virtually all NRC documents after 2000 are online in a PDF format.

The Independent Safety Committee's activities are separate, but in concert with the activities of the NRC in relation to Diablo Canyon NPP. Their hearings are not included in the ADAMS database.
