What is a College librarian and what can they do for me?
- Cal Poly Librarians are 12-month tenured/tenure-track faculty appointments, required to meet all the standards for review, tenure and promotion as instructional faculty. A College Librarian is assigned to meet the needs of the faculty, staff, students and administrators of College they support. I work with my library colleagues and the College instructional faculty to build the library's collection of physical and online resources. I am available to assist individual faculty, staff, students and lab groups to locate resources related to their scholarship. I provide in-person and virtual guest lectures on research skills and self-paced learning objects accessible at Research Smarter NOT Harder - Research & Instructional Resources.
