Keyword vs. Subject search:
Keywords are everyday terms used to describe a topic (e.g. movies). Subject headings are the agreed-upon terms designated by the Library of Congress and assigned to each item in your libraries’ catalog (e.g., motion pictures).
Books on the same subject usually have the same subject heading and are located around each other in the book stacks. Take a trip to the library to see this in action.
